Childrens Charity bus comes to the Shak
The Second Chance Childrens Charity based in Portsmouth, purchased a vw camper at the back end of 2005 and planned to have the bus restored.
12 months later their bay window tin top had been completely rebuilt and resprayed to a lovely baby blue over white.
Now it was time for their chief Executive Mr. Doug Hulme and his team to focus on fitting the interior out, ready for use in the summer months.
Doug purchased their Camper Shak furniture in 2006, and now their camper has made the journey from Portsmouth in readiness for its transformation.
The Charity works with children who have had a difficult start in life....and their camper is going to be used in outdoor activity pursuits this summer.
For more information on the Charity and how you can support its good works navigate to www.second-chance.org.uk
Well trimmed leather seats courtesy of a redundant Saab, offer real comfort in the bay.
And the rotating passenger seat will be a bonus at meal times around their Camper Shak table.
Twin 15 point led lights with remote switching, will keep the camper fully illuminated
The Charity Camper had the full Camper Shak treatment:
• Thermal & acoustic insulation
• Floor fitting services
• Complete door card services
• Furniture fitting
• Auxiliary electrical services
• 4 speaker hi-fi fitting
• 240v hook-up
• Twin lights in overhead
The camper may look like a racing car pit stop vehicle, but Doug has a vision of their Bay riding on a set of Porsche rims......we will see if we can get them to fit.
