Well DubFreeze certainly lived up to its name, with the coldest Saturday night this winter so far. We came down on the Saturday to set up the Camper Shak display ready for the show on Sunday.
Along with another number of brave souls we stayed over in our camper on Saturday night and enjoyed temperatures of -7 degrees. Although we were nice and toasty in bed those first few steps around the camper first thing were a little cool.
Our dishcloth was frozen to the sink…but soon after we had the cooker on making a brew, and the camper started to warm up nicely.
It was lovely to meet up with so many people during the show and discuss your plans for your beloved campers. Apologies to anyone who we did not get the chance to talk too, as it was very busy at times.
Thank you to everyone for taking the time to come and see us….see you all next year same place…..new ideas, new designs……lets hope it’s a little warmer
Kind regards
Mike & Diane
See you there
Great to meet with so many people at the G.O.T.H. VW festival at Croston, the weather was lovely. The whole weekend was very family orientated with plenty of events over the days to entertain all ages.
Thanks for coming over to our display it was very nice to meet with you all and discuss your camper projects. It was a real treat to meet up with former Camper Shak clients who had travelled from far away places to take part in Gathering on the Hill.
See you next year…lets hope the weather is as kind
Well someone said to us last year, “It always rains at Tatton” and last year at our first outing it rained hard in the morning. And the exact same pattern happened this year.
We arrived on Saturday after a week of very fine and settled weather, a lot of people were already setting up on the pitches and everyone was looking at the skys and hoping that the settled period would last through the weekend.
A very good feeling to Saturday night with music and good atmosphere around the show ground, we had taken our canvas drive away awning just in case the weather turned, and I’m glad we did…as it battered late on Saturday night.
Sunday morning it began to rain very hard and as everyone was dashing round covering products etc, we all wondered if the day was going to be a complete wash out.
But true to form our great British weather pulled through and the latter half of the morning and the afternoon turned out lovely.
It was great to meet so many people who visited our trade stand and talk through your various thoughts and ideas you have for your beloved campers.
It was also nice to put faces to so many people we have been communicating with over the internet…thank you for taking the time to travel and see us.
It seemed that everyone liked our newly renovated Moonraker and we hope it helped you in the design layout of your own camper.
Best regards
Mike & Diane
Well we attended our first DubFreeze event this year, and thought it went very well. We met with a customer on Saturday who took delivery of a complete Exclusive range of furniture, and spent the balance of the day setting the display.
Watch out for more photos of Flo in the customer gallery as Mark prepares his camper ready for the road.
Thank you to everyone who came over to say hello on Sunday, it was nice to meet you all and discuss your various ideas and visions you had for your beloved campers.
Apologies to anyone who we did not get the chance to talk to, as it was very busy at times. By the end of the day I had nearly no voice left...and only managed to grab a sandwich after 4pm.
I do hope you all enjoyed The Camper Shak display....and we have come away inspired to have a much larger attraction next time.
Best Regards
Mike
